How to use Pulpo

Q: Which projects can I import?

A: You can import any project in Doctrine, Doctrine2, MongoDbODM, Propel and Laravel.

Q: Which formats are supported?

A: Pure XML, YAML and annotations are supported. For Laravel, only database import is available.

Q: Which database engines are supported?

A: MySql, SQLite, Postgress and SqlServer. (SqlServer is available on Windows platform only).

Q: On which operating systems Pulpo does run?

A: Pulpo runs on Linux, Mac OS X and Windows.

Q: What will my definitions look like in Pulpo?

A: Pulpo will generate standard enhanced ER diagram from your schema definition files.

Q: Can I arrange entities and associations in generated model?

A: No, in Pulpo it isn’t possible. You can do that with Skipper.

Q: Can I edit something in the model?

A: Unfortunately, Pulpo is not a visual editor, only Skipper allows this.

Q: Do I have to pay for using Pulpo?

A: No, you don’t have to pay, it is completely free of charge.

Q: Can I use Pulpo for my commercial projects?

A: Of course, you can use Pulpo for any project you want.

Q: Can I modify Pulpo source code?

A: No, you can’t, any modification is prohibited.

Q: Is Pulpo alternative to MySQL Workbench?

A: Pulpo is unique free visualization for ORM frameworks, MySQL Workbench is used for different work.

Q: Does Pulpo support also Symfony or Zend?

A: Pulpo is strictly ORM oriented tool, any MVC framework is supported as long as it uses Doctrine, Doctrine2, Propel or MongoDB ODM.
